Agenda Update
The topics for the Saturday morning US Army War College presentations are now confirmed:

Advising the Iraqi Army by COL Dwight Raymond. This presentation provides insights based upon his experiences as a Brigade MiTT Team Chief in Iraq. Discussion points include the operating environment, counterinsurgency, cultural observations, and an analysis of the major challenges confronting the Iraqi security forces.

Transnational Security Issues for Strategic Leaders and Global Hotspots/Issues by COL Dean Stodter.  The purpose of this presentation is to provide information and stimulate discussion on non-traditional, transnational security challenges in an era of rapid globalization. Topics include fragile and failing states, climate change, poverty, disease, migration, food and water shortages. It concludes with a round the world look at current regional hotspots.

We have also confirmed an additional speaker for Saturday afternoon.  He is SARCA Member BG Sanford E. Holman, Vice Commander, Joint Warfighting Center and Vice Director for Joint Training, J7, JFCOM.  He served previously as Deputy Commander, Combined Joint Task Force Djibouti in the Horn of Africa.

BG Holman's subject will be: "Reservists in Joint, Interagency, & Multinational Operations."

SARCA will be electing new officers at this meeting.  If you would be interested in running for office or would like to volunteer for a committee assignment under the new leadership, please contact MG Rita Broadway.

You can find the updated agenda and registration information for the Annual Meeting at the SARCA web site.

Date Change for the Mid-Winter Meeting
